These picosecond pulsed LEDs are ideal excitation sources for a wide range of spectroscopy applications as well as being stand-alone modules.
Pulsed light emitting diodes of the EPLED series produce sub-nanosecond (typically <1000 ps) optical pulses at repetition rates up to 20 MHz and are therefore ideally suited to Time-Correlated Single Photon Counting (TCSPC) and Multi-Channel Scaling (MCS) measurements. In TCSPC , they bridge the gap between the nanosecond flashlamp and the expensive mode-locked titanium sapphire femtosecond lasers. EPLEDs are fitted with bandpass filters for spectral purity and are available with emission covering the UV-Visible spectrum, starting from 250 nm.
Other picosecond pulsed light emitting diodes may also be used. Please enquire for integration options that are available.
