Photogenerated Excited States in Solubillized Single-Wall Carbon Nanotubes; Transient Absorption and Oxygen Dependence of the Triplet

Single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNT) feature immense tensile and thermal strength with advantageous 1-dimensional molecular wire electronic properties. The Edinburgh Instruments LP980 Transient Absorption Spectrometer is well suited to study these photo-generated excited states, especially with the capability to add near-infrared (NIR) detectors needed to capture the transient species in these materials.

Application Note: Measuring Charge Carrier Lifetime in Halide Perovskite Using Time-Resolved Photoluminescence Spectroscopy

Halide perovskite photovoltaic cells have attracted tremendous attention over recent years due to the rapid rise achieved in solar cell efficiencies. In this application note time-resolved photoluminescence spectroscopy is shown to be a powerful tool for investigating and optimising the behaviour of halide perovskites through the measurement of charge carrier lifetimes.

Application Note: Temperature Dependence of Phosphors via Photo-and Thermo-Luminescence

Inorganic phosphors are widely used in lighting and display technologies and their emission properties are commonly characterised using photoluminescence spectroscopy. Phosphors generally operate at elevated temperatures and it is therefore important to understand how the emission properties change with temperature. In this application note, the temperature dependence of BAM:Eu phosphor is studied using the FLS980 Photoluminescence Spectrometer.
