Edinburgh Instruments recently celebrated the official opening of their new office in Bain Square, Livingston. The company expansion takes the office and manufacturing capacity to over 30,000 sq ft in Livingston and will lead to the creation of up to 20 new jobs in the town. The new building will also house one of Edinburgh Instruments’ sister company’s global product development group – Techcomp Research & Engineering Centre (TREC), providing highly skilled jobs to the area.
The new office opening was undertaken by (right to left) Mark Vosloo, Chief Executive of Edinburgh Instruments and Techcomp Europe Ltd (parent company) CEO Chris O’Connor with Angela Constance, local MSP for Almond Valley, and Hannah Bardell, local MP for Livingston.
Mark Vosloo, Chief Executive of Edinburgh Instruments, said:
“Edinburgh Instruments is delighted to be opening a new office and expanding our company in Livingston. It is a credit to the Edinburgh Instruments team that our parent company Techcomp Holdings is able to make this investment and we want to build on our success as we look to the future.
“We are proud that Edinburgh Instruments is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of leading-edge specialist analytical equipment. Our products include gas detection systems and a variety of lasers and analytical spectrometers measuring fluorescence. The company has highly skilled manufacturing jobs and a number of apprentices and I would like to thank all the staff for their work to allow for this expansion.”
“Livingston has been central to our success and we are delighted to welcome our local MSP and MP to officially open our new office.”
