XVII Brazil MRS Meeting- SBPMat
We are excited to share that we will be attending the XVII Brazil MRS Meeting- SBPMat from the 16th to the 20th of September at the Praiamar Natal Hotel in Pont Negra, Brazil.
B-MRS will include thematic symposia and plenary lectures, and will provide a platform for recent advances and perspectives in Materials Science and Technology. Oral sessions and poster presentations are being carefully planned to ensure a representative outlook on the newest and most relevant aspects currently addressed by both academy and industry in the multiple areas of Materials Science and Engineering.
The conference will feature 7 symposium topics, including:
- Biomaterials
- Electrical and Optical Properties of Materials
- Energy
- Materials’ Synthesis and Processing
- Nanostructured and Functional Materials
- Workshop
The Brazilian MRS (SBPMat) will also present the Bernhard Gross Award given to undergraduates and graduates presenting oral research and posters in each symposium. This edition of the event will also feature awards from the publisher of the American Chemical Society (ACS Publications), responsible for a number of very prestigious peer-reviewed scientific journals in the materials field. Among the winners of the Bernhard Gross Award, the three best posters and the three best oral presentations will receive the “ACS Publications Best Poster Prize” and the “ACS Publications Best Oral Presentation Prize” respectively. The prizes will consist of US$ 500 for each winning work, in addition to the certificate.
This years venue will offer a pleasant environment to discuss and develop ideas in one of the most beautiful cities in the Brazilian northeastern coast. Natal is a well-known tourist destination that hosts visitors from all over the world. Its warm weather, welcoming people and very refined seafood and local gastronomy creates an atmosphere of well-being that goes beyond the natural beauty of the city’s coastline.
