Edinburgh Sensors

Sensors business continues to perform well and we should have a record turnover for the business unit as we reach the halfway point of the year.

Welcome Shaun

In May we welcomed, new sales engineer Shaun Yakubu to the team in 1 Bain Square.  Shaun will support the business development for Precisa, Froilabo and other Techcomp brands for our customers and distributors in the UK and Ireland.  He has already made a great start with new service contracts for a number of new customers.

We attended a mini exhibition at BioCity Scotland as Lab Products which resulted in two equipment leads.

Sensors & Test

Louise & Gemma attended Sensor & Test exhibition in Nuremberg, Germany in early May.  This is the largest Sensor exhibition in Europe and we welcomed new and old customers to our booth.

Spot Audit Success & Distributor Visits

We also welcomed visitors from WIKA in Germany to carry out a spot audit on Edinburgh Sensors. WIKA are one of our largest customers, last year we invoiced £133k worth of orders. The audit went well, with a few points to work on. Crucially, our communication has improved on the back of this which will allow us grow our business with them.

To extend our Scottish hospitality, we took them to the Johnny Walker Whisky Experience in Edinburgh to sample some Scottish delicacies.

One of our longest distributor partnerships is with Korean company Haesong. Haesong have been selling our Edinburgh Sensors products since 2002. We welcomed them onsite to Bain Square in May to discuss areas of growth and decline in their business, and to refresh training on our product lines to help in their future sales and marketing.

Good Luck Linda!
