µF900- Microsecond Flashlamp Excitation Source

Pulsed Xenon Flashlamp
Spectral range 250 to 850nm
Pulse width (FWHM) 1.5 to 2.5 µs
Average power >5W @ 100Hz
Operating frequency 0.1 to 100Hz
Coupling optics to monochromator
Stand alone and computer controlled version available

The µF900 is a pulsed Xenon flashlamp that can be used to measure decays from 1.5ms to 10 seconds. Pulses from the lamp are between 1.5 to 2.5ms in duration and have an average power of greater than 5W @ 100Hz. The spectral output of the µF900 is similar to that of a continuous Xenon lamp (Xe900), but is enhanced in the UV spectral range. For phosphorescence decay measurements the PCS900 card operates in Multichannel scaling mode where the acquisition of time-correlated data using a timed sweep of the data channels is performed.

The µF900 can be used in connection with gated photomultipliers to acquire phosphoresce spectra.
