Gordon Clephane
Chief Operating Officer
Gordon was appointed Chief Operating Officer for the Sensors Division of Edinburgh Instruments in October 2010. He is responsible for Sales and Marketing, Design and Development, and the Manufacturing operations within the division.
Gordon joined Edinburgh Instruments in 1989, initially to evaluate the manufacturing and Quality systems within the Company. Over the years he progressed through various positions, culminating as Production Director of the company in 2001. With the arrival of a new CEO in June 2010, the Company was re-structured and Gordon was appointed COO of the Sensors Division.
Previously Gordon spent just under 10 years with Nuclear Enterprises Ltd where he gained an insight into all aspects of Design and Manufacturing within a large Electronics Company. Further experience was gained with Scottish and Newcastle Breweries and Raannd Systems Ltd in Livingston, notably in the Service and Manufacturing divisions.
Gordon has an HNC in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Napier College of Science and Engineering in Edinburgh.
