Alan Faichney
CEO
Alan was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Edinburgh Instruments in June 2010. He has a proven track record in industry and in-depth international business experience.
Previously, Alan spent 21 years at Concept Systems Limited as Technical Director then Managing Director. He built the business into one of the leading international suppliers of advanced IT systems, solution and services to the E&P industry. Following the company's acquisition by Ion Geophysical in 2004, Alan joined Ion’s management team as Senior Vice President in charge of companywide R&D. He left Ion Geophysical in 2008 to join the high-growth software company DEM solutions as Chief Operating Officer. He is also Non-Executive Director of Rock Solid Images PLC and was for many years a Director of the Scottish Charity Hatwalk.
Alan has a degree in Mathematics from St. Andrews University.
