The nF900 is an all metal flashlamp that
is capable of delivering true sub-nanosecond optical
pulses and is ideal for fluorescence lifetime measurements
from approx. 100ps to >100ms. The lamp can be run with a
variety of filler gases such as nitrogen, hydrogen, or
deuterium depending on the users application. The compact
head has all metal shielding to eliminate RF interference
and is coupled to photomultiplier detector via a fibre
optic such that every optical pulse can be monitored and
correlated to each trigger pulse. A free standing gas
filling station is available as an option. This is used
for routine evacuation and refilling of the flashlamp
together with the monitor of the lamp filler gas.
