Mini-t Spectrometer - Data Acquisition

The Mini-tau employs the measurement principle of Time Correlated Single Photon Counting (TCSPC) for fluorescence measurements from 30picoseconds to 10microseconds. For TCSPC measurements we employ our TCC900 card. This is a PC plug-in cards with PCI interface that incorporates all the necessary electronic modules required for Time Correlated Single Photon Counting. All the important operating parameters of the TCC900 are fully computer controlled. This includes constant fraction discriminator, variable nanosecond delays, time to amplitude converter and large memory for multi-channel analysis. All that is required to perform TCSPC measurements is an optical trigger pulse from the excitation light source and the raw detector output from a single photon counting detector connected to the START and STOP inputs of the TCC900 respectively.
