FLS920P Spectrometer - Data Acquisition

The FLS920P operates in both single photon counting steady state and fluorescence lifetime acquisition modes. For steady state acquisition we incorporate our fast photon counter scalar card the PCS900. This card has a PCI interface and all the important operating parameters of the PCS900 are fully computer controlled.

The PCS900 card features :
• PCI interface
• 3 channel counter
• Maximum count frequency of 100MHz, minimum pulse width 10ns
• Up to 4000 gates of width 300ns to 0.4s
• Up to 232 counts per gate
• Accepts +/- 10mV to +/-5V input signal levels
• Multi channel scaling capability
• Accepts +1 to +5V external trigger
• Plug ‘n’ Play PCI bus interface.
• Standard half size PCI board dimensions

For time resolved data acquisition we incorporate our TCC900 card. This computer controlled card with PCI interface, incorporates all the necessary electronic modules required for Time Correlated Single Photon Counting. This includes constant fraction discriminator, variable nanosecond delays, time to amplitude converter and large memory for multi-channel analysis. All that is required to perform TCSPC measurements is an optical trigger pulse from the excitation light source and the raw detector output from a single photon counting detector connected to the START and STOP inputs of the TCC900 respectively.
All the important operating parameters of the TCC900 are fully computer controlled. This includes discriminator thresholds, zero crossing levels, frequency dividers, shifting delays and time offsets, time range and number of data channels, switch between forward and reverse mode, stop conditions.

The TCC card features:
• PCI interface
• Time ranges 2.5ns to 50microseconds full scale
• Time resolution from 610fs/ch
• Ultra-low jitter <25ps
• Forward and Reverse modes
• Exceptional differential non-linearity
• Integrated shifting delays
