The µF900H is a high power pulsed Xenon flashlamp that can be used to measure decays from 1ms to 10 seconds. Pulses from the lamp are between 1.5 and 2.5ms in duration and have an average power of greater than 60W @ 100Hz. The spectral output of the µF900H is similar to that of a continuous Xenon lamp (Xe900), but is enhanced in the UV spectral range. For phosphorescence decay measurements the PCS900 card operates in Multichannel scaling mode where the acquisition of time-correlated data is performed via a timed sweep of the data channels.

The µF900H can be used in connection with gated photomultipliers to acquire phosphoresce spectra.
